Pros

I appreciated that the company utilizes a recovery perspective in working with psychologically distressed clients rather than a strictly medical model perspective. I felt that they treat their employees well too.

Cons

The environment felt a bit chaotic at times but, then again, that can be the nature of the work.

Pros

Recovery Innovations truly provides compassionate help to persons experiencing a mental health crisis. The front-line peer counselors are all persons who have learned to cope successfully with mental illness or substance abuse and are now able to help others start on the path to recovery. Since the company pays all registered nurses the same salary regardless of experience, newer nurses enjoy a salary higher than nurses with similar experience.

Cons

Upper management seems out of touch with reality and frequently hands down new policies and procedures that erode the quality of services provided by the front line workers. Upper and middle management seem to be more concerned about growth and profitability that with safety or quality of care. Mediocre benefits.
