Pros

Depending on the department, you only need to teach 1-2 courses per semester. - The course material is usually already prepared. You simply need to give lectures and conduct discussion/lab sessions. - You will be assigned a TA to support grading assignments. - Workload is low leaving more time for research. - Boosts your chances for future tenure-track teaching job applications.

Cons

- You may not be allowed to make changes in coursework and lecture materials. This can be frustrating, especially if the course content is outdated.

as i mentioned above, the city is lack of opportunities
