Pros

RIT is a fast-growing university with clear vision on how to grow. It has a very nice, staff-friendly environment. Provides lots of amenities for staff.

Cons

The only con is not about the university, but the place. Rochester is not a very fun place to be. It has long cold season and a grey sky for most of the year.

Pros

A lot of Innovation goes on at RIT, and a lot of the academic departments benefit from it. There is even an annual innovation festival called ImagineRIT.

Cons

RIT is poorly managed in many aspects. Many of the Finance and Administration sub-departments are filled with the exact opposite of innovation culture. For a university that stresses innovation, they should apply some of that thinking to their own departments.
