      Pros

      The company culture at RKL is the best I’ve ever experienced. Though it was a demanding job, the company did the best they could to make everyone happy.

      Cons

      Public accounting is a demanding job. Being in that position requires long hours during busy season.

      Public Accounting Firm

      Pros

      Competitive compensation, tons of team building events throughout the year, and a great team of people

      Cons

      It's a public accounting firm, expect long hours and big workloads. Busy season lasted from January through March/early April, 60 hours a week were expected, but that's on par with a public firm of its size--if you're going to a public firm you should already expect that. Client sizes are much smaller, so you bounce from engagement to engagement week to week, meaning you don't typically close out your client in one week and tasks drag into future engagements. Requires more management of time and workloads than a bigger firm where your attention is on one client for a substantial period of time.
