Pros

RLI rewards its employees for their contribution to the long standing profitable results of the company through a great bonus program and ESOP. The company gives great flexibility to create a work schedule that works with your lifestyle as long as you maintain the high performance expected of RLI employees. The collaboration and information sharing amongst employees within each products stands out compared to other insurance carriers.

Cons

The lack of underwriting experience of the c-suite is clearly evident in how the home office operates. RLI is a smaller company with less management opportunities for employees.

Pros

RLI offers competitive pay, benefits and flexibility working environment. Strong leader in our industry. Healthy company to work for. The company is finding it's bearings when it comes to remote work. Still waffles in tone between the importance of in branch/office vs. remote, but we have a very distributed workforce. The company prides itself on its culture, so it's good that they are not rushing toward trends, but taking a careful thoughtful approach to anything that could impact culture.

Cons

The company is struggling to organize and establish a digital strategy. It can be a tough place to work if you are in the technology, IT, design, product development space, since we aren't very mature in digital yet. That said, organization values it's customers tremendously, and the unique way relationships exist across our variety of product offerings.

Pros

The culture is by far one of the best I've come across in my entire career. I was starting to think a healthy atmosphere like this didn't exist. I feel so welcomed, happy and accepted by a team and company that truly cares about each other and about the work that they are doing. I enjoy what I am doing everyday. The onboarding process was very engaging along with the training I received. My manager is very active in my progress and happiness. I definitely feel like I found a home with RLI and look forward to see how my career grows over time.

Cons

Honestly, there are none. I've moved careers at different points of my life looking for the balance I needed overall and RLI provides what most companies do not.
