Pros

Solid pay. Good benefits. Plenty of opportunities for growth and applying new skills. 8 hour Monday thru Friday schedule was nice. Worked with a lot of good people there. Working in the paint department acquired a lot of new skills for me and I thoroughly enjoyed making the tiles and learning how the painting machines worked. It was fun making a good product.

Cons

Some of the leadership was questionable. High turnover rate for management on the Rockfon side. Constant schedule change from 8 hours to 2-2-3 schedule caused a lot of conflict for many employees there. A lot of veterans were worked to death, only to quit or get fired over minor infractions. Paint had a steep learning curve, and the training in that department could have been better.

Pros

If you are reliable to come to work, you have a job. The benefits are okay. Steady work. Decent pay

Cons

Rockfon management is very disconnected to its people. They have no real people skills. They have no moral integrity. Our shifts have changed over 5 times in 4 years. They do not know how to build a team atmosphere.

Pros

Pay is comparable to the area, Benefits are good and change constantly. Lots of travel for training

Cons

They say be upfront about your thoughts and then they turn them around and use them against you. Lots of travel for training overseas to countries that have no love for USA. You can't be trained if the trainer sleeps on the job. Quick to chose favorites, you will keep your job if you become drinking buddies with the main trainers.
