Unhealthy competition; Poor systems and processes
Pros
Generally good company portfolio worldwide with a stable global presence. The workload can be manageable if you plan your schedule accordingly. Strict SOPs for COVID-19 screening and cleanliness at the factory. Location is alright.
Cons
1. Unhealthy internal competition amongst some of the business units. They are secretive of their ideas and unwilling to share any knowledge with the other. This has a trickle-down effect on the staff in that this same behaviour is observed amongst teammates. Bosses are forever butting heads and giving the employees second-hand stress. They also only see the employee as nothing but a resource instead of a human being. 2. Poor systems and processes - they do not have any standard procedures or guidelines and always have to call them to find out. 3. No career development plan as promised. Improper KPI setting and is not reviewed by upper management. Compensation and benefits are also mediocre and bonus is not attractive. 4. Poor management and leadership - Their management is not interested in providing leadership as they just want you to get the job done even if it is not in your purview. Even my so called supervisors complain about their job. Management also non-stop talking about vaccination during town halls, instead of giving valuable company updates. 5. Bad work culture with unfriendly and unhelpful staff - They have mastered the art of 'tai chi', meaning they will find some way to push any responsibility back to you and do not care to help in any way. HR also neglects the staff and did not even do orientation for us even though we ask so many times.
