Cons - there are a few.
Too many decisions for North America is made in Europe. They have no idea and understanding (how could they?) , and therefore some of the decisions do not make sense. North America is the bread basket of Grodan, so we need to run our own show. The reason we are down in sales this year is because of - us North America not being able to manage ourselves.
It is hard to get good employees, and it seems to me that good employees are lost due to an unwillingness to compensate long term personal. Grodan would rather hire new people for higher price than they are willing to pay established staff. This hurts the bottom line.
I think the worst thing is that there is absolutely NO team building experience. We use to go out for birthdays and work anniversaries when I first started, it has been years since we did anything (I know Covid has not helped) Now we might get a Christmas dinner seriously?
There is no training in how to do your job. When you are hired, and this still counts today, there is nothing to tell you how to get started and no guidebook, it can be very frustrating. You have to learn the hard way and it is not easy. It feels like a waste of time.
