Pros
As long term employee with the firm, I’ve seen the company, through both strong and weak market conditions, consistently provide sales and recruitment professionals an opportunity to make money in a fast paced yet flexible and fun work environment. The company’s ownership leverages a vast professional network and personal relationships to help sales people quickly develop lucrative accounts, which in turn gives recruiters a high level of opportunity to make placements and generate income. The company provides every tool available in the industry to help sales and recruiters to be successful. The back office is fast and efficient in all functions, including consultant on-boarding, payroll and commissions.
Cons
Training within the firm is short and lacks formal structure. Those who require a long formal training period, a highly structured work environment, and a lot of hand-holding/supervision may face difficulties. However, new employees are given the opportunity to work alongside experienced producers on day one, and are allowed to focus their efforts where they feel they can close business. They are not bound by any geographical or internal team structure limitations. If they are sharp enough to work efficiently and focus their efforts appropriately, new employees can do deals immediately and make money right away. The best way to describe it is a sink-or-swim mentality. This helps the company avoid long drawn out evaluations of employees who can’t make deals, and keeps the new-hire from wasting time in and industry that may not be right for him/her.
