Pros

Pros: flex-schedule options are available for those who value work-life balance, flexible as to the location of employees, easy work environment, very encouraging of personal R&D projects that RTI may support

Cons

Cons: the organization is fairly flat so there is limited upward growth, also being a non-profit that is highly funded off government grants they are very strict on keeping track of billable hours to project work (and limiting overhead).

Cons

Rigid corporate structure. Company heavily siloed with little interaction among research units. Management tends to manage up rather than down.

Amazing opportunities, committed incredibly smart people. The ability to work on different projects is great, and the flexible work environment is awesome.

Cons

If you're stuck on a bad project, you're stuck for awhile. Some people have worked at RTI forever and get away with terrible behavior and managment.
