Pros

The people here are wonderful to work with. Most of the leadership is new but so far they seem to focused on the employees. We are able to work remotely which gives flexibility, removes commute, and allows more time with family. They treat us like adults and give us autonomy on projects.

Cons

I came here to leave a positive review, but after reading all the reviews, I find it misleading how all the positive ones don't have any, like any, negative thing to say, big or small. I understand that some of the critical ones are from those who where burned by bad leadership, but the negative reviews address key issues in great detail that, unfortunately, I cannot disagree with. Over my career here, I have been able to keep my head down and do my work, but recently, and as the other reviews have mentioned, it's been difficult since there is no real direction for the company. Leadership persists that AI will be the complete focus of the company, but that's about as detail as they go into it. You have a few people who work on these small AI projects and even though people are more than willing to work with this transition, there are no pursuits for major projects or including others in these AI projects. From what I can see, this leaves a lot of employees feeling left out and concerned since there is no direction. Sinking ship, hellbent on failure, or circling the drain, all have a common theme and many employees has taken noticed.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. We agree that the people at RTS Labs are wonderful to work with and appreciate your recognition of our leadership's employee focus. We're proud of the flexibility remote work provides to support work-life balance. A recent survey showed that 90% of employees believe RTS is a great place to work, reflecting our positive culture. While every experience is unique, both positive and critical feedback are valuable. We also understand there’s always room for improvement. AI is the future, and adapting to it is essential for our success. Though initial AI projects may seem small, they position us for bigger opportunities as we build trust with clients. Transparency is a core value at RTS Labs, and we encourage open conversations with leadership about any concerns, including the company’s direction. These discussions foster understanding and help address uncertainties. We invite you to reach out to Jyot or your manager to discuss the company's vision and plans further.

Pros

The colleagues I've met, both in and outside of projects, have been supportive, kind, dependable, and intelligent—truly great people. Leadership (excluding the CEO) is skilled, supportive, and full of great ideas.

Cons

The CEO's lack of maturity, business acumen, and overall influence undermine the professionalism, potential, and culture of this company. Constructive feedback or basic business questions raised in internal meetings are met with childish defensiveness, leading to blame, insults, and chastising of employees, often accompanied by temper tantrums over trivial matters. As a result, most employees are begrudgingly compliant, unable to express reasonable business concerns openly. The CEO's unhealthy obsession with AI has led to the neglect of critical, revenue-generating resources and valuable employees, focusing instead on small AI projects that cater to a few favored individuals. These favored employees are consistently recognized in meetings, while the majority of skilled employees who drive actual revenue are left feeling undervalued and invisible (one wonders who left the reviews with no cons). Unfortunately, many of the pros that once made the company stand out are being removed. Despite leadership's efforts to address significant issues, the CEO's spontaneous and self-serving decisions consistently reverse progress, particularly by altering key benefits such as work arrangements and PTO. In 2023, the CEO's negligence and lack of planning resulted in the loss of 50 employees, half the company. With no strategic business plan in place or in development, this instability continues to take a toll on the workforce, continuing in making RTS Labs a lost cause.
