Pros

The amenities such as free beverages i.e. coffee, tea, etc. Available gym to keep in shape; Available training to advance oneself.

Cons

The pay and benefits package could be better. The 401k and match is below the industry average. The pay for engineers lags behind as well in many categories. The company has grown to become one of the bigs but at the expense of employees.

Pros

Work schedule is very flexible if not actively performing shift work. I have been with the company now for several years and the group of people I have worked with on two different programs have been awesome! Raytheon for the most part does try to take care of their people. I have enjoyed my time with the company immensely. I would definitely recommend Raytheon to a friend.

Cons

The PTO policy of only allowing 40 hours carry over into the next calendar year is annoying. It's possible to get a waiver to allow additional carry over however, depending on your Lead, that may/may not happen. If your Lead doesn't believe in PTO waivers being submitted, then you are out of luck. It seems every time you turn around there is another doctrine, policy update, meeting, or some other mandatory item for LGBT being forced down your throat. The same could be said for Import/Export awareness. Far too much emphasis is being placed on the $ amount people are making and not what they bring to the table. We have seen many personnel being let from a program just simply because they made too much money. It seems the common practice lately is to replace an E-03 or E-04 with several years experience on the program with an E-01 or a college intern in order to give management a larger bonus.
