Pros

• PEOPLE Reed does a great job of finding like minded people who concentrate on the end goal, creating an event. They are collaborative, dedicated, and all-around good people. • PTO Reed does offer a fantastic personal time off policy. Depending on your workload, it may be difficult to actually use all the time off you accrue, but it is nice to know its there. • TRAVEL If you like to travel, Reed will certainly help you there. San Diego, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Seattle, Orlando, Detroit, Nashville, NYC….. • NETWORK If meeting new people and helping them succeed is something that interests you, and depending on your position in the company, you are going to meet so many people across multiple industries and levels of management.

Cons

• COMPENSATION Outside of a sale position, Reed’s compensation starts on the lower end of the scale for area they are located, and annual increases do not usually match the cost of living increase. • WORK/LIFE BALANCE Reed is really working at getting this right, but I felt as though it needed to be mentioned. Depending on your workload, you may see 50 to 60-hour work weeks prior to an event. 60 to 80-hour work week at an event and then you may need to come home and pack to go back out again the following week. If you are working on 8 to 10 events a year, it is extremely difficult to maintain a healthy balance. • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Again, something Reed is working on, but it is a work in progress.
