      Pros

      The organization has high goals, and work with a wide range of persons. The individual parts work better than the whole.

      Cons

      Employee turnover/burnout. Low Wages.

      Pros

      Truly invested in developing the skills and careers of the people who work there, at all levels. Offers tuition reimbursement, which I have used.

      Cons

      The work is challenging, but if you bring a positive attitude it is incredibly rewarding.

      Mission driven organization

      Pros

      Racker Centers is a great example of a mission driven organization with strong leadership and a clear vision. Though the agency is quite large, staff can still feel a sense of belonging as well as independence in their work. Benefits and vacation time are great.

      Cons

      As a non-profit, they cannot match the higher salaries of schools or the state. Leadership in certain areas of the agency could be strengthened.

While it is true that relying on state and local funding does have its challenges, we continue to work tirelessly to ensure every staff member will earn a fair, livable wage.
