      * Surrounded by smart folks * A lot of different roles to match the kind of work you want to be doing * Employees making significant contributions are rewarded/recognized * Open culture, leadership demonstrates values openly * Teams are very supportive of each other * Great home/work balance * Company cares about community as much as employees

      * Seems like some inequities in pay by listening to some colleagues vent * Easy to get lost in the shuffle / slide by * Seems to be a lot of extra managers * Quick growth means a lot of disjointed internal tools

      Pros

      It was a fantastic place to work with exceptionally smart people and an environment where you felt appreciated. The managers were fantastic, and I definitely would recommend Rackspace as a place for anyone who is hard working and motivated to work.

      Cons

      Desk job. at your desk for 9 hours a day trying to hit quota.

      Some great products Superb customer support Reasonable Flexibility in working life On-site Gym Good Office + Canteen - you will put on weight here Some good technical brains & SE's Great for SMB / SME sales people to start your junior sales career Growing fast - but for how long? Leaders in the cloud Great on-boarding process / education A good stepping stone to a better career elsewhere

      Poor Management with little backbone to do anything or make changes - don't put your head over the top of the pit etc Revolving door of Enterprise staff - before joining ask about attrition rates in Ent team V.high Far too much tribal knowledge - if you can find it you might be OK Despite constantly making reference to 'Treating Rackers (employees) like friends and family - this does not happen. If you have an opinion different to the management you are branded as negative...so don't have an opinion Too much sickly sweet ;hey how you doings' everyday....yawn yawn No share option scheme in the UK Obsession with culture to the detriment of actually addressing the real business ssues Lots of time in the office. Think of it more as what you can do for the company rather than what it can do for you. Managers in constant meetings and producing nothing of any tangible benefit to anyone.
