Pros

The people...in my group. I love my group. It's one of the major reasons why I stick around. The ability to work from home and manage your own schedule. (Within reason of course) You are not hounded or treated like a child and the work environment is casual. Fun events are planned and we are given the opportunity to move up or move on to different areas of the company. Cool office culture. A lot of the people are awesome. I'd recommend this company to a friend with the caveat that they need to be prepared to be seriously stressed out.

Cons

Overworked. We're often expected to produce a lot in a short amount of time. Some members of other teams are very condescending. Some of the brightest are taken for granted and not fairly compensated. The distribution of knowledge regarding the company offerings leave much to be desired. Yes, selling is important but you lose time and therefore money when unnecessary products are sold and clients do not understand them. VERY high turnover in certain departments. If you are going to allow employees to be bullied and berated, at least pay them top dollar.

Pros

The largest Pros were the people I worked with, and the variety of projects. The talent was some of the best, brightest, people I have ever worked with. Colleagues stick together like a life raft offering each other support during the ever stormy waters of life at TMP. Plenty of opportunities for inexperienced staff looking to build their resume.

Cons

Low morale, uncompetitive salaries, and inability to focus on strategic priorities top the list. Revolving door of talent closely follows. As others have mentioned, client desires drive the daily activities of the teams. Product roadmaps are frequently set aside/resources diverted to satisfy immediate demands of specific clients. Advertising/Marketing teams (perceived as sole contributors to the bottom line) appear to be promoted at regular intervals in stark contrast to technologists (perceived to be cost centers) who remain in-place for the duration of their tenure at the company.

Pros

Open, supportive environment and down to earth people. It is a friendly informal environment and they do very well at making sure they hire people who fit in. Compared to other agencies you will find more senior, experienced and skilled people which makes it a great place to learn and develop. Over the last 2 years they have got a lot better at growing talent and there have been a lot of examples of moving people around, promoting from within and international moves. The office area is amazing, especially in the Summer when the terraces are a lovely area to have break out meetings.

Cons

Do not always get their workload planning right which can lead to stresses and strains but they try hard to balance things well.
