A great (but limited) agency career starting point...

Pros

TMP is a good place to start you career especially if you enjoy working at the product level. It's a good forum to learn how to self-develop the necessary skills to forge your own career path. Management is kind and typically understanding of work/life balance.

Cons

With that said, there are some severe pit falls to working in the current culture at TMP. Self-development can pigeon hole you into roles and not allow you to move forward on your self-determined career path. I say it's self-determined because direct management is focused on maintain their fiefdoms and tend to roadblock any disruption to that regardless of the overall benefit to the organization. Long term career paths at TMP typically involve leaving the organization and returning into roles that were sought while the employee was trying to work through what standard advancement protocol would dictate as the proper procedures. Once employees are in these positions, they tend to stay for many years which creates stale and stagnant thinking and not only holds TMP back from staying truly competitive and disruptive in their space but creates roadblocks to career growth for other employees.

Pros

Innovative company, some of the top managers are exceptional, some of the locations have a great culture, well-organized with good resources

Cons

Sometimes too focused on products and not enough on customer service, loses sight of the customer, tries to be too many things and not focus on the core competency, overextends with some offerings

Pros

Great group of people who seem to enjoy working together. Office size is about 30-35 consisting of both account service and creative.

Cons

can be a bit chaotic - people who come in need to be able learn on the fly even with the training provided.
