Inbound Marketing - Take The Ball & Run
Pros
The Inbound Marketing team is one of the newer departments in TMP's Chicago office. Having undergone quite a bit of change over the past year, the IM team has evolved into a face-paced, rewarding team. Joining this group means you'll have a hand in creating social media campaigns, content offerings, blog posts, editorial calendars, and numerous other projects. With exposure to Fortune 100 brands, you'll be juggling quite a few responsibilities at any given time. The team itself is always adding new faces, but remains tremendously supportive of each other. These are smart folks, no doubt. If you're looking for not only agency experience, but an opportunity to really "own" your work, this is the team for you. The casual, flexible work environment doesn't hurt either.
Cons
As with any company the size of TMP, working with distant teams can be difficult. But if you work hard to establish solid working relationships with other offices & teams, this shouldn't be too much of an issue. There can be seasonal "crunch" periods which require quick turnaround, so there are times when you'll just need to hunker down to plug through deliverables. If you're not comfortable with taking the reigns on a new project and/or account with minimal instruction, this might not be the best fit. TMP and Inbound definitely reward those that go the extra mile and chart their own course.
