Pros

Very applied program and we get a lot of direct experience applying what we learn in the classroom to companies in the NRV area. Professors are great and down to earth. Very accessible.

Cons

The only con is if you want a Ph.D in the future this isn't the program for you. You can still go on to get one, but this program is very applied.

RU offers lots of opportunity for faculty to interact with students individually as well as develop and teach new courses and be involved in university service.

Cons

RU is in a rural area without much shopping or non-outdoor activities and the housing in the area is dated.

Department support. Know colleagues well. Easy to meet people from other disciplines. Great food in dining hall!

Cons

Internal politics seem to be very high. Hiring process convoluted. Lots of committees. Probably no more than regular academia though.
