Pros

Mortgage Insurance has been a stable business in a rough economic time and Radian has invested in AI and other tech investments over that last few years.

Cons

There has been a steady contraction in number of employees. The remaining employees are expected to do more with less.

Pros

Being able to work remote was nice, and starting salary was pretty good at the time.

Cons

My grievances are many with Radian. First and foremost, in the 3 and a half years spent with the company I experience 4 waves of layoffs. I understand that times are tough, but each round of layoffs somehow coincided with employee “Town Halls” where the ceo and leadership boasted millions and in some cases billions in profits! Additionally, for the last year and a half with the company I interacted with my manager a total of 10 times. He was never around, attended no meetings, and when he was there it was just to stress everyone out and berate someone for the mildest of offenses. It’s no wonder our project was shuttered and everyone (including myself) was laid off.
