Not a great career choice for anyone

Pros

If you are a white man with limited ideas, then you might fit in. Don't let the fact that the CEO is a woman fool you. She is just a figure head.

Cons

There is simply no direction from the top at MRB. They are all long time buddies sitting on top of their thrones doing nothing. The company i in decline because Tamra Lundgren allowed the perpetuation of the good old boys club destroy any hope of SCHN doing well. Anytime good ideas are launched, a good old boy is right there to kill it. The boys have even resorted to using the anymous ethics hotline to get rid of people they don't like. I witnessed it with my own eyes. They are corrupt!

Do I have to give them one star?

Pros

They will spend a ton of money to relocate you from far away because nobody local who knows about them wants to work for them.

Cons

Once you get there you will deal with the kind of garbage almost every reviewer has reported. I worked there for more than a year and should have received combat pay for what I endured.

Great ideas, lack of unified plan for execution

Pros

Outstanding people here. Of all the place I have worked, this is definitely the best as far as the caliber of people and camaraderie. Flexible scheduling, interesting industry, environmentally conscious, good benefits.

Cons

The company wants to move forward and implement continuous improvement practices and to become more "lean" oriented. Unfortunately there is a complete lack of cohesiveness is their approach. The idea is there but there is no uniformity in approach. People, data, ideas and technology are scattered all across the country with no teamwork or shared initiative. Multiple layoffs this year as the metals industry has crashed.
