Pros

-Great opportunity for growth. -A growing company that is looking to listen and work on things and implement ideas based on employee feedback. -Right now in this stage the company is in a positive state; some growing pains with being a small company is that you get used to sticking with some things that just don’t work until you get people, or systems that make a change. -Open door policy is pretty good with all levels of management and even HR that everyone seems to say doesn’t exist (it does). -Free trip every year where you travel to places that you probably would have never seen in your life. -Very open to referrals and they do not hold you accountable for that referred employees actions. -Honesty and transparency all around. -service awards that came out at this years kick off.

Cons

-Pay, as in every job, seems like it’s not enough, but can’t complain based on other benefits and opportunities. -a lot of people leave before they get to experience the best benefit we have (fam trip).need to do a better job preventing that. -A lot of toxic people come through and stay for a little.., stay for a while.. and it ends up not being helpful for either parties when those people part ways with company. -Some system things are super manual.

Railbookers Group Response

We appreciate your valuable feedback. As a rapidly growing company, employee feedback is central to our success, which is why we encourage openness and transparency with our open door policy. At YLG, we believe in rewarding our staff appropriately—as you mention with our annual service awards and all expenses paid FAM trips. You make a great point. We care about continuously making our company a great place to work. That’s why we’re currently, and aggressively, rolling out new initiatives to discover talent that aligns with our ethos and culture. Additionally, we are currently cross-training our staff and are always looking to promote high-achieving employees from within. Regarding your advice to management, your comments indicate that there could be some improvements made here. Your suggestions have been noted and we will certainly look to improve those concerns in the future.

Pros

There's a lot of room and opportunity for growth here. Within my first few months here I was promoted to a supervisor position; this is something I never expected but now that I'm in the position I feel like it was a great fit for me. It's good to work for a company where the management prioritizes their teams growth and not just their own personal growth. Any job can have its downsides as well, but it's nice to work in a company that has such a positive energy because it really makes the tough parts of working a customer service position easier to handle. Everyone in the office is very friendly because those ideals are passed down from the management.

Cons

The workload can get to be a lot where we are balancing many tasks between few people, but this is generally only during the busy season and to be expected. Like I said the benefits generally outweigh the negatives.

Pros

If you love to create dream vacations for clients who want to travel and enjoy traveling yourself, then look no further because Yankee Leisure Group offers both of these and more! The company culture and environment is awesome and I do truly enjoy coming to work because I found my calling and my niche. I get to talk about travel and I am able to sell these phenomenal experiences to people who dream to travel throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. The staff and management are always here to help one another because our unified goal determines our growth and success. We continue to grow as a company and seeing the growth before my eyes makes me happy to work for such a great company. When you perform and go above and beyond, management sees that potential and they’ll help you grow your career with the company. Another great pro is Familiarization Trips, which is when you travel and explore one of our packages so it will better help you when you sell to our clients. FAM Trips are a privilege and one of the many perks when working at Yankee Leisure Group. From the moment I started, till now, I am truly blessed and grateful for the opportunity that was laid before me. I thank Frank Marini (The President) and I thank John Vavrina (The Vice-President of Sales) for giving me the chance to be involved in the industry and seeing the potential in me to grow in my career. They saw something in me and I know that I am where I belong. People who work here love what they do and are passionate about their work. Being a part of something that is bigger then ourselves, is truly spectacular and I am excited to see where we go as a company! One thing is for certain, you will always learn and grow here and it is up to you to apply yourself. Yankee Leisure Group gives you the tools to create success but you must want that success and growth yourself.

Cons

Nothing. Keep on doing what we’re doing as we are on the right path.
