Pros

They are a good starting point within the industry. The technical grounding and education is sound.

Cons

The work ethos has died. It has become a place simply to do your 40 hours. Don't stick your neck out because it will only be chopped off. Loyalty has dissappeared. Their is no loyalty by the company to the employee so eventually their is no loyalty back to the company or brand. The brand image from days of old is drying up.

Pros

The company has very innovative quality products

Cons

Management style is outdated and doesn't reflect current market HR trends. Departments work in silos and can be difficult to get internal support. Senior Management has very little respect for its employees or customers.

Pros

If it's travel and experiencing varying cultures, meeting new people and enjoying a beautiful industry that is both competitive and rewarding then Rain Bird is a great. The Management I have had experience with have always been respectful to me & supportive. Providing targets are achieved, guidelines are maintained and cultural respect is shown you are left to carry out your business with an autonomous style of management. Compensation is good. A Senior Manager said from the start Rain Bird will challenge you and they do, so if you enjoy a challenge then great, join the team, if you don't like hard work stay away. The company has provided me & continues to offer many training opportunities, allowed me to grow professionally and personally and if it's progression you are looking for, again Rain Bird is a good company. Having always admired Rain Bird as an industry leader I'm proud to be in the position I am today.

Cons

R&D process could be quicker. Email communications are excessive and at times unnecessary and over bearing. Personally I enjoy the travel but Travel + meeting expectation on delivering reports can be a challenge but in my opinion work life & balance is a skill perfected by the individual, not necessarily fault of the company.
