Pros

Maybe good for an absolute CS fresher for a year, especially if they are not able to get any other offers. Tariq Amin is pretty good at selling the idea; so good to listen and learn how to sell from him. Also if one needs to toughen up, be ruthless, know how to blame others and play politics, this is the place. No other positives.

Cons

Tremendous amount and levels of BS! No one knows how to build a good product. But all the leaders can and will talk big ! Absolutely no respect within the company; from the top to the bottom. Constant hussle, work environment resembles pre-series A from hell. Only thing that matters is the timeline, absolute disregard for all good software engineering practices (quality, robustness, extensibility, etc). Maximum unpredictability in terms of daily work and tasks, Constant state of flux. Nothing can be planned in advance and executed per plan. Lots of dishonesty and deception by most leaders due to their work pressure. Regardless of role most folks are responsible for product delivery whether they like it or not Hardly any separation of responsibilities across engineering, architecture, solution, product management, services, support sometimes even across sales and marketing! The freaking vice president will be in daily stand up looking at the jira board and asking questions and giving technical advice on stuff they have no clue of! Strong rumors of graft and misappropriation at the highest levels. And BTW, forget about work life balance, one will have a life! Best advice for current employees would be to escape ASAP!

Pros

Because of total chaos and mess, one gets to step into many areas and gets wide exposure by wearing many hats and trying to push others to do their work. You learn to manage politics well, you learn to be highly resilient.

Cons

- One person, CEO, controls where the company is going with public shaming, - Sadly, he does not know how to run the company. Result: a mess right from the beginning; no strategy, no long-term planning, no communication, people on the ground have no idea what is going on, what's the plan and where is it heading - fire-fighting is a daily thing, employees trying their best to weave the mess, yet company micromanages and implements policies that move the company backwards (thanks to another hiring frantic of leaders who are seriously out of touch and out of sync and puts this technology company to shame) - Crazy panic hiring globally with crazily high salaries - When not doing well, crazy retrenchment. Echo the other reviewer, don't treat your employees as 'expandable meat shields for failures on your end' - stop feeling insecure when you fail by making crude and poorly executed plans by retrenching teams with short notice and moving control back to Japan and to cheaper India. -Unpleasant competition for power by HQ Japan and India - describing it as dynamic start-up work culture is kind. More like a total mess, chaos, no ownership, inefficient and politics, yet HQ Japan wants to appear nice and retain their control which is reflected in its poor work efficiency and refusal to take up ownership

Good colleagues, great workplace, excellent culture. Out of touch management.

Pros

Positive colleagues that are trying their best to keep this sinking ship afloat. Great employee benefits. Opportunity to work with talented individuals in the industry. Diverse work culture. Culture of promoting self-exploration and innovation, just like any forward thinking tech company.

Cons

Leadership team is seriously out of touch with the employees. Overbearing and convoluted check systems placed into the company because of a few bad actors. Lack of communication and transparency by leadership team despite promises on delivering on this.
