Pros

My colleagues are great people, and I feel that I have a lot of flexibility to balance my work with my life. I haven't had a team this genuine to work with in a while.

Cons

IT department is growing, but it will take time to really feel like you're on a roll. Plenty on the horizon, but it will require patience.

Avoid - Toxic Culture, Low Compensation, Poor Work/Life Balance

Pros

- Occasional travel - Depending on role, you may work with talented team members

Cons

Not a great place to work, unless you're stuck living in Chicago or you're just starting your career. If you're in NY, from a top school, or exceptionally talented, look elsewhere. All the 5-star reviews are written in the same tone with similar language, likely written by HR trying to boost the company's rating. - Compensation does not reflect industry standards, and when given, annual increases are insufficient even when company is performing well - Toxic culture of gossip, manipulation, and harassment from coworkers - No process for reporting sexual harassment. When reported to management, they gaslight and nothing is done. Search these reviews for harassment and see how many times it's mentioned - Constant 'meetings' culture, yet no forward progress is made. Employees are not empowered to make any decisions themselves, so there's a lot of time wasted waiting to hear back from managers - Management does not seem to value creativity or expertise, and does not trust associates. Constantly checking to see if you're working, micro-managing - Completely acking in diversity, Summer interns are always white blonde girls - Executive team is all 60+ white men, and one woman. Zero diversity, entire group is out of touch. Nepotism runs rampant. - Lots of upper management have a bad attitude and act as if they're too good to speak to you - People get promoted based on popularity or looks, not talent, successes, or seniority. Certain managers have only attractive young women on their teams, doesn't anyone notice? - The annual changing of the logo to reflect Pride colors is performative and meaningless. There is no support for LGBTQ team members, and frequent harassment / problematic language is passed off as 'jokes' - Unhinged, manipulative, toxic managers are only removed when they have an actual breakdown in the office - Employees are encouraged to volunteer, but the only allowed opportunities are through Christian-oriented organizations, regardless of employee's religion - Awful location, unless you really like O'Hare - Very inflexible on working hours - No plants in the office, everything is beige
