Pros

In my office they hire primarily by referral. Most of my coworkers (25+) are cool.

Cons

VOIP phones go down. e-mail quits working. IT help desk is anything but. Very slow 3 MBPS internet speeds. My direct supervisor is very out of touch with almost everything. His coaching advise is simply "work harder". Unbelievably bad work/life balance. Weeks after Randtsad got sued and lost for making recruiters work 45+ hours a week and only paying them for 40 hours max, my boss was telling the whole office he'd like it if we worked overtime and didn't put it on our time cards. Very combative culture. If you call another office, you might get yelled at over the phone simply because they don't know you. There is practically no part of this company that works well. have an issue with you paycheck? good luck. Have an issue with your health benefits? good luck. "not my job" is the attitude for almost every support employee of Randstad. I worked here for 2 years, I know I can't believe it either, and I can easily say it was the worst mistake job wise that I've ever made. Very high turnover rate across the company. I'm on glass door looking for jobs right now actually.

Pros

If you're willing to do some unsavory things and deal with being micromanaged, you could make good money. God knows with a base salary around 37K you're going to need to make some commission to survive.

Cons

Very micromanaged Every decision you make is scrutinized. Lots of talk about doing things outside the box and innovation but nothing ever changes.

Pros

Large company so they were able to ofer great benefits, insurance is amazing. Fun work environment, and scheduled promotions/raise if performance meets or exceeds expectations.

Cons

I loved working for Randstad, my only issue was my immediate supervisor. During the interview I told them I wasn't really looking for a sales position, later I was told I must do B2B sales. That isn't my fortey. I was also told that I would have more work life balance during the interview, however when my son was very sick or I had 102 fever I was expected to work from home. Keep in mind, I NEVER call out and usually always work no matter what. Any time off was not given with the best support. I believe this was immediate managment, not the overall company value.
