Work Hard, Play Hard

Pros

Great team to work with...highly motivated and hardworking employees who truly love what they do. Management also employs a "work hard, play hard" mentality so while we may have to work long hours and late nights, they make up for it with lunch potlucks, movie days, etc. The company is also very focused on social responsibility and volunteering, which is something I'm also passionate about. We do fundraising and volunteering on a quarterly basis with both national organizations like the March of Dimes and International Rett Syndrome Foundation, as well as local organizations like women's shelters, food banks, and animal shelters.

Cons

The hours can be long and work very stressful at times, but I think that comes with the territory. I also think sometimes there is to many people involved in major decisions. I appreciate the buy-in process but it also bogs things down and takes people away from their desks and productivity.

Pros

Friendly & helpful co-workers, casual atmosphere. We work for a global leader that has grown and we have great potential.

Cons

Lack of consistent good communication, lack of processes, lack of systems training, subjective bonus incentives, many decisions take too long, cost of benefits, quality of benefits. Lack of trust and professionalism has been rampant in our office; it is improving but still exists. Executive team is divided. There is still an "us and them" mentality as it relates to corporate. The company succeeds despite itself.

Pros

They have a great team - everyone is super nice and dedicated to their job. You have to work hard, but the hard work pays off. There are good career growth opportunities - the company has a focus on employee development and career growth.

Cons

In this industry, things change quickly, so you have to be adaptable and able to go with the flow. The work/life balance here can be tough because there is so much work to be done.
