Pros

Randstad's compensation and benefits structure was competitive. Room for advancement is there because of the turnover. Overwhelming daily activities were great sales training.

Cons

Once you factor in the additional 15+ weekly hours you are working your compensation is basically cut by 1/3. If you are working these many hours and they are basing your salary on a 40 hour work week you are getting ripped off. There is no sympathy for a work life balance. It is an uncomfortable work environment lead by money hungry upper management. A consultants responsibilities are unattainable based on the model Randstad puts in place.

Pros

Great stable company. Sales metrics and leadership are very accessible. Depending on what area you recruit for there is a great work life balance. Great benefits. Work load can be challenging at times but rewarding.

Cons

Metrics can sometimes get in the way of growing your business. The position is more demanding than other staffing companies in that you are the go to person for everything. You seek out the new business, once you have the new business you fill the placements they have open. You find the candidate from job postings to direct recruiting, you are the payroll etc.. you are pretty much an all in one HR department along with being a sales person.

Pros

Excellent organization of responsibilties and team tasks. Great clients and beautiful office. Great resources for recruiters. They fly you down to Ft Lauderdale for training and take care of you.

Cons

The major accounts team operates like the popular crowd at high school. If you don't fit in regardless of how many positions you fill or interviews you get; within 60 days they will terminate you. Supervisor and other account executives are off site and form their opinions and evaluate you based on brief phone calls and rare face to face encounters. High turnover; if the company and management force high turnover, you will get high turnover. It is a scary reality that the one industry that focuses on staffing and employment has a reputation for high turnover.
