Great managers at Randstad

Pros

At my site, my managers (not sure if i can give names so I'll give initials) KF and CV are extremely considerate and understanding of employees needs and personal lives. They are also very helpful and genuinely interested in helping their staff obtain full-time employment.

Cons

The company is obligated to their client, a large financial services company, and their manaegment. My team was assigned to a very difficult manager and Randstad's "hands were tied" when it came to honoring her rediculous requests and leadership style.

Pros

Good base pay for a telemarketing sales position. At the client I was assigned to, there were lots of opportunities to get extra hours as long as you asked and were aggressive about getting them.

Cons

The lead consistency was not that great at the client I was working with. One day you could be calling people that spent a couple of hundred dollars a few months ago. The next day you could be calling people that spent $10 back in 2005. I don't recommend working here unless you are satisfied with the base salary and won't mind not making a lot of commission for a few months.

Pros

Simple work Well known company Reliable support from Randstad office Friendly coworkers Sales commissions available under the Progress Energy project

Cons

Customers that you speak with by phone can sometimes be very rude Progress Energy, the project I work for, is a very strict company who regularly increases their rates and this understandably upsets their customers Billing work often is boring and repetitive Medical/dental insurance is comparatively expensive since the pay rate is so low
