Pros

They have lot of clients.

Cons

1. They constantly lies to their employees about the rates. 2. Not a guaranteed job. I am currently on full-time with Randsatd so they take a huge cut out of my rate for the client; which comes with the job guarantee that they will not terminate employee even the contract with the client ends. I specifically asked this question before accepting the offer and they told me an employee will remain on bench with pay regardless of your project status. That is the main reason i accepted the job. I knew they are doing 60/40 rate. There are tons of consulting companies who does not provide job guarantee but do 80/20 rate. Randstad lied about the job guarantee. After working with Randstad for 3.5 years, I received the termination letter within 2 weeks of project end. It broke my heart because i lost so much money trusting them and not going with other consulting companies. Luckily they found the project and so they cancelled the termination letter. After 3 months i resigned because i was unhappy with the whole termination thing then their ill-mannered recruiter called me and started yelling saying they have done so much charity on me. How can i leave them, they gave me good rates even though they are not getting that much from client. Now i don't know if she is an idiot or she thinks i am an idiot that i will buy her story that Randstad was not making money from me. That's just common sense. I also knew my client rate because my client mistakenly sent me an email which contained that so i told her that. She started accusing me of lying and not knowing anything about business and being a complete fool. I worked with them almost 4 years and when client ended the project, they were about to terminate me but when i decide to move on, they started creating nuisance. My advice is to stay away from them. Join some other company who give you better rate or job satisfaction. 3. Most of their clients uses old technologies and are small companies with no process, vision or even good product architecture.

Dont Do It!

Pros

the only pro is your coworkers, if you are lucky enough to work with people you like, but dont get your hopes up. if you all do get along it will be because you all have 1 thing on common: you hate your job

Cons

management - they wouldn't take responsibility for anything if their lives depended on it. They will throw you under the bus, even if what you did was a direct order from them. training- more than likely your job wont be rocket science but don't rely on training because you can definitely fake your way through, and even if you paid attention, you will start working and realize that what you were taught was in the process of being changed while you were being trained on it or, you will learn the person who trained you more than likely trained you wrong. if you work in a position where you can earn commission you might as well forget about it because commission is a team effort and your team will suck, of course because they were also trained wrong. your metrics will be outlandish and unbelievable- you will absolutely be set up to fail and the life expectancy on working at Randstad is like 2 years. work life balance is non existent, they will hold company wide meetings but not use company time because you need to use those hours to work and then make the meeting mandatory. so you will work 8-5, and go to a meeting from 5:30-10 and they will always say - well you're salaried so that's life.
