Pros

This is a leading product in this space and users and customers love it. The team is passionate about the product as well as their users, both paying as well as free users. People help each other out. This is a high-growth market. Things move quickly at RapidMiner which in general is positive.

Cons

Despite the maturity of the product, the company still is a startup with all the connected downsides. This is partly due to the lack of maturity of the market itself. Sometimes fast changes can be intimidating. Highly distributed teams with employees across the globe.

Pros

Great place to work for, team is supportive of one another and we actually use our own product unlike many other companies. Predictive analytics is a growing market and RapidMiner Studio is a great solution.

Cons

Would like to see more career or growth opportunities.

Pros

Good platform and the CTO Ingo, a great enthusiastic Data Scientist. Have the elements to make its way in the predictive arena to integrate data findings in the business.

Cons

CEO Peter Lee + Sales management don't have a clue on their market strategy and pricing of product or differentiator of their community version of the platform, no real structure, no motivation, and sometimes try to intimidate, saying that they wanted unvarnished feedback at all the time but not taking any of it. Very disappointed of company that could be in time a good platform for predictive analysis, but the management do not understand their own product life cycle or the pricing for the different markets. Trying to replicate a failed structure from past company, beware of the OTE and Comp plan as they change to their convenience, and Good Luck!

Rapidminer Response

In May 2016 we made some organizational changes to reallocate investment in sales and marketing to accelerate product transformation. This was a difficult but necessary decision and I understand why those affected would be rightfully disappointed and critical. However, in the years since RM has consistently grown, been recognized by Gartner and Forrester, and has a high performing sales team that consistently achieves quota.
