Pros

Not many, some colleagues are willing to work together. Good products but both still in their infancy.

Cons

Many! HR poor out dated policies and work standards. Training poor. No direction from management or HR. Most departments live in their own little rice bowl. No teamwork between departments. very cliche. Two Software products, neither team helps out the other. All but one upper management don't know what they are doing. Owner has no vision or culture for this company. No professionalism from most employees.

Pros

The development team is about 10 members and everyone works well together. Being a smaller company, as a developer you'll have the opportunity to work on the entire stack, from frontend to backend work. You won't feel pigeon holed into one small part of the applications. With that comes responsibility, but it's a great way to learn. The tech stack has also been modernized, so you'll be able to work with some cool stuff like Angularjs and Spring Boot. The company has recently been trying to improve employee benefits and perks, so we have bagels ordered for the office weekly, there is a non-alcoholic drink fridge which is always stocked, and we have company lunch-ins and outings quarterly. Good location as well—right off the highway; nice lunch spots around. Good work/life balance. There is a support on-call rotation divvied among the team.

Cons

Sometimes unrealistic goals and deadlines are set, but I think this is endemic with smaller companies. Not to say the development team receives flack for this, but it's something that can weigh on your conscience.
