Pros

Receive a paycheck and health benefits.

Cons

60 percent of the company is Indian, 20 percent is Russian, 15 percent of the US employees never worked company. Im in the remaining 5 percent which have worked for other financial firms nad know how bad Raymond James is... Inefficient, ineffective leadership. If you live in Tampa it makes sense but DO NOT move here for a position with RJ. I guarantee you'll regret it a feel like you're in another country.

Pros

There used to be pros - flexiblity, lots of team work, supportive leadership.

Cons

- IT management treats employees horribly; yells at them; threatens them, plays mind games with them. Many, many people have complained to HR and they do not care. I quit a year ago because I was sick every time I thought about going to work.

Pros

Company overall isn't bad, plenty of time off and they do provide reasonable work/life balance for many IT roles.

Cons

The technology organization is really behind the times due to poor leadership from all ex-UBS leaders at the top of the org. They still live in the 1990s world of waterfall projects, chain of command, and manual processes and they UBS leaders operate like a good old boys network. You'll never have any real power or influence at RJ if your not a top of house leader from UBS. UBS leaders can crash systems for a week and not get fired and non-UBS leaders are routinely scapegoated for bad UBS leader decisions.
