Pros

Very stable company, family oriented.

Cons

New IT management is pushing people away, not sure how the company can sustain itself with the current turnover.

Pros

Raymond James is a good place for the later stages of your career, and has a lot of nice people If you stay long enough to vest, the profit share, ESOP, and ESPP are pretty generous. Pretty good work life balance

Cons

If you aren't a revenue generator, the compensation is going to be below market. In addition, there sis a very Small 401k match ($750 max), and annual bonuses are pretty small (4-5% range). The firm has very poor technology, and chooses to not invest in better systems, and when it does usually cheaps out on getting the best, which leads to problems down the road. The businesses are very siloed, and reluctant to work together, which leads to lost opportunities and wasted time.

Pros

Full-service brokerage firm with abundance of learning opportunities within headquarters. Decent benefits package. People are generally great to work with. Senior management has done a great job so-far of leading after disconnecting from leadership of the James family.

Cons

Hard to move up within your own group. Supervisors/Managers say they want to help career growth, but do not offer insight or follow-up to ensure you are on track - nor are they willing to actually develop talent, would rather higher those with experience than develop stars into supervisory positions. 401k match is a bit antiquated, as is the vacation/sick time mix. Slow to make changes in trouble spots - keep beating the square peg into the round hole.
