Pros

- Lots of work opportunities - Great people

Cons

- Legacy company culture clashes abound...Hughes (California, Arizona), TI (Texas), E-Systems (Texas), Parent Raytheon (Massachusetts). Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace pretty much operate independently from legacy Raytheon. - I've worked in California and Texas over 20 years. I found much more amenable management and better growth opportunities in California but the cost of living is exorbitant. Much better COL in Texas but management is provincial more concerned with maintaining the bottom line than helping the employees grow themselves.

Pros

Great work environment and a large selection of opportunities.

Cons

Once hired in, there’s a 2.5 year waiting period between pay grades no matter if you’re overqualified or are performing job functions way ahead of your pay grade. It’s the main reason a lot of people jump between companies like Raytheon, Lockheed and NG.
