Pros
Interesting / challenging technical work. Friendly work environment where teamwork is highly encouraged. Competitive Salaries. It is possible to change programs if you see a better opportunity elsewhere, although it might take some time. Almost always compensated for overtime work (straight-time). Reasonable benefits package.
Cons
Some individuals are a little too self-promoting at the expense of others (to put it nicely), but that is a rare exception. This should not be a surprise with a large company, but management has tolerated it too much at times. Some (but not all) programs are extremely fast-paced and stressful, creating difficult work-life balance issues. Pay raises barely keep pace with inflation, but at least we see raises.
