- fun environment since most are fresh graduates - comprehensive medical benefits - good location

Cons

- low pay; can only sustain young, single life and not for families; - no work-life balance; it's a trap when they tell you there is; - this is where your careers ends; a CDP is created for you but there's no follow up and no actual plan for it; company doesn't want to invest on its people; - favoritism is rampant; - lots of people are dishonest and will do everything to cover their own faults; - management takes things personally; they don't review the process to find the fault but instead the people -- you'd be tagged as a risk for the rest of your stay; - most of the people have acquired Stockholm syndrome toward the company; - management lie to you all the time so you'd stick around for all the wrong reasons;

Pros

Great work environment, smart co-workers and management in the IT sector. Benefits are also decent, with good mobility and a career plan.

Cons

You may not end up doing what was described to you in your interview. With many repeat employees, this shop has the art of the good interview down. There is also quite a bit of fishy business in the company's history and books. Look closely.

Great Opportunites

Pros

Great people / corporate culture. Cutting edge technology if you are in the right group. A great technical career path with a very high ceiling. The new building in Richardson with the Gym and Cafe is pretty nice. A lot of upper management has deep technical experience, helps with no-nonsense decisions. Stock options and bonus plan. Health insurance seems great compared to friends I have talked to.

Cons

Experience can vary depending on what department you are in. (like anywhere really). There are some groups that are stuck handling some Legacy systems that are outdated, as RP moves towards the next level of these most are turning into opportunities to work with new tech as the Legacy systems are replaced, but It can be a slow process replacing large pieces of successful software. Change is constant, If you don't adapt well to change, you probably will not like it here.

I find the food to be very good and the choices are constantly evolving. We have started spin classes, yoga, and you can have a personal trainer if you like.
