Pros

- The tech support team and its immediate manager

Cons

- Everyone on the tech support team is paid under 20 dollars an hour - You will not be able to survive in the Bay Area on what you make here - We are expected to know 37 different products where the rest of RealPage only troubleshoots 1 product (We also have to know our clients other software systems which we do not work for) - We were promised for almost a year that a fair market assessment would be done and that we would slowly be raised to where we should be. We have since been told that we will not receive the increase

Pros

When they laid me off due to "Cutting resources on the team" I was on my way out but instead of having to haggle with my pto I got a severance pay and ended up with three weeks PTO while I started my new job. Other than that there are no pros. My best day at RP was my last day.

Cons

Bait and switch, Poor management, Bad ethics, Can't seem to get things done in a timely manner due to infrastructure team and always changing managers. I was there a few months went through at least three managers, and three product managers. When I spoke with the Senior Vice President about the bait and switch they told me I was lucky to even have a job, though I turned down a counter offer to come work for this place. I do not recommend working here unless you want to be treated like a number, always switching project ideas and like to be treated poorly. I have worked for 4 companies now in my career as a programmer and so far this place is the worse.

Pros

Pay, work with UnitedWay, location. Troubling and unstable cloud stack, especially technology from companies RealPage acquires. Sorry that was a con, the company is like that.

Cons

Lack of leadership. Dallas does not offer enough talented technologists. Horrible industry. Hard to go home every night and think you are making a difference in the world.

Thank you for your post. At RealPage, we are making a difference, because we help people find homes, that are safe for their families. I'm glad you liked the pay, the United Way, we are a very generous company and the location that you worked at. We feel our industry is very important and are proud to partner with the best PMC's in the United States. I wish you well in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining
