Very diverse work place. Good work life balance.

Cons

Still outsources a lot, even when the domestic developers tell management that it hurts more that helps. Salary is below market.

Great Experience overall, yet felt held back

Pros

I had an amazing team to work with and was eventually given a chance to take on some basic leadership of that team. Idea sharing, collaboration, and enthusiasm were abundant. There seemed to be a genuine concern for client needs. Pay was decent and flexibility for remote work situations was excellent.

Cons

I felt as though career development was lacking. Although I was given the chance to assume some basic level of leadership of my team, it felt like more of a fauxmotion than a promotion, aimed at trying to keep me by distracting me from what I had really expressed interest in, than a genuine advancement, as there was no real increase in ownership and the level my position created seemed extraneous. I appreciate the recognition that probably underlay the move. However, several experiences led me to feel as though I was being blocked from exploring opportunities outside of my department in spite of my extensive background in other areas.

Thank you for your post. I grew up in the Pepsi system where it was a badge of honor to promote your team up and out of your organization. In fact if you did not do that you could not advance deeper into your career. So your point rings true to me. The organization must move top talent forward, otherwise, top talent works for someone else. I can tell you that we are putting in a formal Human Resource Planning process that will be led by Kelly McCarthy. We want and must know all the skills our talent has, where the organization gaps are, business requirement needs that must be filled, and formally move people forward. Today over 70% of the jobs are being filled within so many people are making progress. I'm sorry that you departed. I would ask anyone reading this post, before you considering stepping out, that you reach out to your department leaders, division leaders, HR and lets explore opportunities that you might not even know are coming available. Take Care of Your Long Term Employees

Pros

Pretty good product; Company has great ideas but can't seemed to get all the applications to 'play together'. If they can make this happen,this company will have the market.

Cons

If you come in from the outside you will be making more than employees who've been working 60 hours a week - for almost 2 years. Got a 'Exceeds Expectations' but raise % does not reflect grade.
