Pros

The offices are very nice and the amenities are great. Cafeteria (you can reserve private dining rooms), fitness center, air hockey tables. RealPage has great volunteer opportunities to support the needy and nonprofits. They used to have a nice Halloween event where families and kids could come on campus and trick or treat.

Cons

A very toxic environment from top to bottom. I was completely appalled at the behavior that I witnessed in meetings from very senior directors, vice presidents and executive management - raising their voices, banging fists on the conference table, yelling derogatory terms at your own team, it's all absolutely unacceptable and not something I have seen while working at other organizations in my lifetime. They also have no qualms about firing employees on the spot for no valid reason, even though you may have several years with the company and have received good or above average performance ratings. They are completely untrustworthy, unrealistic about project goals, budgets and timelines, and set a horrid example of company culture, while severely lacking in integrity and mutual respect.

Thank you for your post. It's unfortunate that you had a bad experience while working here. The company's culture is not poor as RealPage has recently won several great place to work awards. We wish you well in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

The only pros to working for this company are that their value for diversity, culture and values is vital. RealPage as a whole is excellent. There are many perks as well. The overall rating is for RealPage as a whole.

Cons

It does not matter how many years you have worked there; all the hours and hard work you contributed might not pay off in the end. I am a previous employee of 14 years. I loved my job! However, things/people sometimes change within a team, which is not always for the better. Some of my coworkers and I were bullied many times and talked down to. Many people have left under this individual due to many factors which none of them are positive. This individual is still a manager, and I have no idea how in the world they are. I will say this, though......not everyone at this company is terrible, but some people, including managers, will never have your back no matter how good of an employee you are. Favoritism is in every company, but that's not what is sad about this situation.....it was how individuals were treated behind the scenes. You can only treat an employee a certain way for so long; they become run down, making any motivation go out the window and have the attitude of why should I even bother. It is not worth the headache and all the mental issues I have now. The overall rating is for RealPage as a whole. Good luck, and hopefully, you will have a different experience than some of us did.

Pros

Slow growth has been observed over the past 10 years. Its good that we are acquired by TB. There might be promising changes.

Cons

Most of the long staying core technology leaders in the Richardson HQ are old fashioned. Still uses old technologies and methods of operation. They are hard to change that limits their ability to grow. They started being PC programmers and up until today still carries the PC programmer mindset for their products, just on another platform but still carries the old problems of their products. Same old customer complaints. Very frustrating.

Thank you for your post. RealPage has grown 20% a year for the past 10 years which is actually quite good. I too am encouraged that the new owners will support our growth and give us a new set of eyes on how we operate. We also have a lot of confidence in Shoeb's technical ability..///so stay tuned...Sincerely, Kurt Twining
