Pros

Good work-life balance. I like that if I have to be 15 minutes late due to traffic or leave early for my child, it's not a travesty, and that kind of respect from my superiors has me gladly working double to make up for it. We are getting a new spectacular building with a lot of amenities, which is nice. It seems like the company is working hard to keep everyone informed and happy to the going-ons. I love the people I work with.

Cons

Our internal system runs extremely slow some days. There are a lot of people working on them, but I feel like there should be additional servers or something to support the amount of users. I thankfully do not have to rely on the medical insurance this company has to offer, but it is deductible- based and doesnt seem cost effective unless you are having major surgery or a baby. A lot of employees who use this insurance seem to come into work sick because they can't afford the office visit, which is 0% paid for under this insurance policy unless you have met the large deductible. I would have said the location- but we are moving, so it's all good! Really hoping the new location has much more comfortable chairs.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad that you are finding a good work life balance within the company and you are excited about the new HQ location as we are. Your issue with systems running faster is being worked on by Sean Wheeler, SVP of IT. Our new building and set up should help in this transition and we do have an open help desk in 4000 that you can visit anytime. I fully understand how you feel when systems run slower than expected. As to our medical plans and deductibles , they are consistent with industry norms. Working with Lockton, we have been very effective in holding down premium costs year over year. In fact if you have tenure here, you know that in some years we did not raise deductibles or premiums. Healthcare unfortunately, has gotten more expensive for all of us. Please be assured we negotiate very firmly with the carriers. As to your tuition comment, lets revisit that because we do offer tuition for college reimbursement in the IT field, and you are correct in pointing out that we are very close to getting a very large educational grant from Richland that will have technical training available to all employees. The best part of your post were these words, " Being able to move through departments seems pretty simple if you are bold enough to just put yourself out there." I appreciate your assertiveness and yes you can advance at RealPage and have a great career. Let me buy you lunch and lets talk about your future career aspirations and see what we can come up with. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

New location move in 2016 is in centralized Dallas area location near other IT companies Average benefits - two week vacation etc.

Cons

Sales Executives and managers promise high commissions, then put qualifiers on eligible new sales. Top Company executives have massive turn over ratio; word is they leave as soon as their cash bonus/guarantees expire. Implementation of software is slow and leaves customers frustrated.

Thank you for your post. I see that you are a former sales rep for the company. To be fair and balanced here, lets start by saying the company has had 7 straight impressive quarters of growth in EBITDA, revenues and free cash flow so something is going right. Do we have opportunities to improve - absolutely. One of the big changes we put in the sales plan were start dates which actually helps the reps to get paid. In addition, we have gone from single year to multi year contracts, which helps the reps get paid. We did make a change with add on versus new logo sales, so I went back and looked at commissions and they are actually up this year...quotas actually went down this year. Its really not a true statement so say the Top Company executives leave as soon as they get their bonus/guarantees expire. I can not name one in the last two years who has done that. Could we implement our software faster, yes, as the ultimate answer is self provisioning. Something we take very seriously and efforts are underway to make that a strong possibility. Finally, I agree with your comment on the HQ location, it will be great and it is closer to 62% of our employees homes. All the best in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining
