Pros

RealPage is a big company with lots of career opportunities. They have a good stock reward program once you get to a certain level. They do have some good products but none of them work together well.

Cons

RealPage leadership is poor from the top down which is evident by the amount of turnover. They don't care much about the employee, they only care about the bottom line. In the sales environment, Sales wants to get paid on time and accurately. This is a major struggle for RP.

Thank you for your post. Lets agree on one thing, sales is coin operated and should be paid on time. I do appreciate the fact that you rightfully believe that there are many career opportunities within the company, the products are good and we certainly do share equity lower into the organization than most companies. Turnover is down across the company for the most part. Having said that you may not feel that way in sales this year. It should be pointed out that we probably have the most tenured sales team in the industry. Since we changed our commission plan at the beginning of 2016 and the changes we made in the commission team's administration we have had virtually no complaints on compensation. Candidly that was an area that needed to get fixed and it was fixed. I think your comment that the company does not care about its employees is harsh, as the engagement survey does not reflect that nor does the time and attention that you see through all the stories being posted on the portal say that. I sincerely wish you well in your future endeavors. All the best Kurt Twining

Pros

"Was" an amazing place to work, when hired current managers had been in place for years and cared about there employees well being and careers , and internal promotions from lower departments was very high. lots of room to grow... there are some great people there Great for getting experience and that getting out and moving on

Cons

Now after over 4 years and 6 different managers for my department moral is pretty low -Manager gives lots of open-ended promises, never follows through can never back up there employees due to manager/s not being technically qualified, causing department changes that forces much higher workloads than job outlined when hired -Micro Managing like you wouldn't believe -Highly stressful when everything you do has to be explained to a boss that doesn't know even the basics of Microsoft Office - Pay is poor for senior employees .. when newer recruits get 15-20% more with little to no experience and raises will not reflect performance - your voice will not be heard, above issues have been brought up with managers of department current and past, due to High turnover though the good ones leave before doing any good and the bad ones seems to always stick around a little longer to screw up things that have been in place for years that have always worked very well -Would of liked to have a long term career...doesn't look promising -Company seems Way to focused on acquiring companies rather than making what they have great

Thank you for your post. I'm glad your liked the pay, time off, holidays, co-workers, feedback and activities. I appreciate the fact you recommend the company. You would have been happy to know that we have just increased vacation time for longer tenured employees. There is no question that tenured employees have a lot to offer any company -wisdom is a critical trait. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Respectfully Kurt Twining
