Pros

The perks were pretty good, pay was comparable if you joined the company at the right time. A lot of great employees at the individual contributor level. Fairly flexible work environment. A good resume builder given the amount of responsibility one can potentially be given.

Cons

My department was so top heavy with directors, VPs, SVPS, EVPS, all of whom put their ego before the good of the product, the good of the clients, and the good of their team members. Bandaids and short term fixes were put into place instead of taking a larger look at the product and overall strategy of the department. The product was horribly flawed and buggy but more and more add-ons were being put into place to hit revenue goals instead of taking a closer look the baseline product. Products and launches were often extremely premature causing a catch-up for all departments and consistently upset and disappointed clients. Communication was severally lacking between departments in the same division never mind throughout the company. So many shortsighted acquisitions and fore mentioned "fixes" left the overall atmosphere splintered and disjointed. Middle Managers and individual contributors had so many roles and responsibilities piled on with little to no training causing rampant disorganization and knowledge gaps. Roles were diminished or magnified at the whim upper management in thinly veined attempts to cover their own shortcomings and job performance insecurities. Uncertainty, lack of communication, and constant "restructuring" from top leadership caused an endless feeling of paranoia which only resulted in a low team morale and overall toxic work environment.

Thank you for your post. Noting that your post comes in from Hollywood, Florida, that would suggest you were a part of the vacation business that we acquired and later merged into Kigo, the european acquisition. I appreciate your comments regarding the front line. On the flip side you are suggesting that many things are broken and I will bring this forward to the appropriate people including Jason Doyle who is now leading this division. I agree with your IQ and Emotional Intelligence comments. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

My team is amazing and my management team is the best of the best. The job is challenging and has really helped me grow as a professional. I enjoy coming to work because of the people that work with me. I have been working at this company for almost 8 years which shows how amazing my team is! I have rated senior management 5 stars based on my own management team and culture 5 stars based on my team and my management team having a dedication to employee culture.

Cons

The pay is very poor for my job title. Raises are very poor each year due to "budget" which is a hard pill to swallow when you are going above and beyond all year. The job comes with extreme stress which is another reason the compensation is such an important part and when compensation is lacking it makes it hard to stay with the company. Beyond my management team - the executive team is detached from employee culture and knows nothing on the jobs that we do.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad that you like your leadership team, coworkers and that you are growing as a professional. Each year we do benchmarks using Radford global data to set ranges, so I know our ranges are competitive. We have also given merit increases that have cumulated out to 4% over the last year. The real question you are asking is where am I in my range and am I being compensated for the value I add to the company. A very fair question. If you would like to confidentially sit down, one on one, I will be a happy to review your entire pay history and see what the data tells us. It sounds like you really like what you do and if there is something that the data tells us I will be more than happy to address it with the support of your supervisor. Again, thank you for our post.Kurt Twining x4016
