Pros

Can't think of anything positive about this company

Cons

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked at. Their is no sales training for employees and they hire sales managers from within and most are not great at managing a team of their former peers. Their commission structure is so confusing most managers can not figure it out when you ask for help. I look forward to leaving this company ASAP. This has been such a unprofessional environment. Sales reps lie to clients to get their business and this is known by management

I discussed your post with the SVP of Sales, John Yager. Knowing that all sales hires and sales reps are required to go through a multiple week sales training course, I'm not sure how you can make a claim that there is no sales training. In review of sales promotions/leaders we have hired 36% of our sales leadership team from the outside, which means 64% of the new leaders are getting a promotional opportunity. They are going through two leadership courses, "Lead to Exceed and Making Great Leaders" We have also just hired two of the top Senior Sales Leaders from a leading competitor. I assume they saw something positive in RealPage. We have dedicated employees who can assist you in any commission issues you have. RealPage has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to honesty with customers. Would be happy to discuss this with you ayc. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

The people are amazing here! Direct supervisors are compassionate and really listen to your ideas on how to improve processes. The culture is laid back. Plenty of opportunity for growth, but it's not just given out to anyone with a college degree or someone who just shows up--you have to work for it!

Cons

The entry level job can be tedious and become monotonous, but, as I've already stated, there is plenty of opportunity to move up for those that buy in and show dedication to improving their skill set. The benefits are solid, but the pay could be better.

Thank you for your post. You're right about the opportunities within RealPage as 70% of promotional opportunities are filled from within the company due to growth and industry knowledge. If you like, please give me a call at 972-820-4016 and I will be sure to pass it along that your team would like to go deeper into strategy. You raise a great point on clarity and we certainly appreciate your curiosity factor. Thanks Kurt Twining
