People are generally nice. Laid-back environment.

Cons

Realpage's OneSite platform is a horrible mismash of hacked together code. No OO. No best practices. No standards. Lots of legacy ASP code with bits and pieces of .NET grafted on here and there. This is not a .NET job despite what they said in the interview. The job is 100% bugfixing and support. No opportunity to learn or use new technologies. In my 3 months with the company, 3 developers were hired on my team and all 3 left for the same reasons which involved feelings that this would take their careers a giant step backwards. Buggy, bloated VBScript and Javascript without standards that is a nightmare to work on. Coworkers who've been there a while are generally not technically up to speed with the latest technologies. Expect to fall behind if you stay there for any length of time.

Great co workers, lots of exposure to new systems and apps, Managment good about responding to the smaller daily needs.

Cons

Managment is dissconnected from what it takes to complete tasks assigned. There is no project managment department and no tools to provide structure to accomplishing goals. Email is being used for a substitute.

Pros

Coworkers are fantastic. Everyone gets along and helps each other out. Commute is not bad. The employeer as a whole provides a unique oppurtunity to be exposed to new technology and advance your skillset at a rapid pace. The company is growing quickly and shows no signs of slowing down. I cant wait for them to go public!

Cons

Lack of follow through by department managment. Promises, promises, promises! Several departments are paid at or under the standard. My department manager needs to take on the issues presented more. There is too much deflection when confronted by issues they dont want to answer to. Upper managment goes to bat. Have notseen/heard my manager do that yet.
