Pros

-casual work environment -free office snacks (chips, cookies, popcorn, fruit) -close proximity to the Irvine Spectrum and Costco -very generous paid company holidays (12 total) -office has beer and wine -open work space environment

Cons

-high turnover of staff at various levels -3-4 mass layoffs yearly due to “budget cuts” -huge disparity in pay for employees even within the same roles -employees receive bonuses based on their likeabilty versus merit -certain executives actually care and are competent but they struggle with implementing changes due to internal drama

Unethical Employer - All Show , No Go

Pros

Realty One Group preaches "Culture", which is a good catch phrase, but they don't take care of their employees.

Cons

Realty One Group talks big, but doesn't support their employees and it doesn't live up to expectations. This company spends a substantial amount of its money on "cool" furniture and partying. They're always looking for someone to drink with. Over the years, I've seen a number of good employees fired, which leaves the run of the mill employees to pick up the slack. Instead of backfilling positions by hiring new talent, they expect existing employees to take on job responsibilities outside the scope of your job description. The broker who runs the show tries to rule based on intimidation and fear of being fired. His "management style" is that of a dictator and all of his managers fall in line or risk being fired. If you're looking for a mid-long term job, I'd steer away from this unethical and chaotic employer.

Very Unprofessional

Pros

None that I'm aware of. None whatsoever. Very unprofessional in both from what I have experienced and from what I am told.

Cons

This company is such a joke. I have been contacted by them in the past surrounding employment and they waned me to submit free design work to be considered for the role. News flash, any designer worth their salt isn't doing free work, not even for consideration. That's what portfolios are for. So the designers who are willing to appease this request are bottom feeders and you always get what you pay for. I did however give them honest feedback surrounding their black and gold branding and how outdated it is and always will be and apparently they didn't like that too much.
