The company depends a lot of the feedback from headquarters in Germany and the department budgets are very very small.

Pros

This company offers great benefits with excellent paid time off. Great company for family oriented professionals. Very clean work environment since all manufacturing/fabrication are outsourced. Fully climate controlled work environment. Paid holidays are abundant and 401K match is fair. Beneficial company to start your career with but after a year or two, you need to move on to ensure continued career growth, competitive pay, etc.

Cons

A growing company with many personnel changes at the middle to top level management in the last 10 years creating an unstable environment for the rest of the company. Company has many goals and targets but all are challenging to achieve continuously due to inability to retain experienced and reliable employees for the long term. Employees come and go at all levels and all departments. Guesstimate average length of service of all supervisors and to top management is less than 3 years at their current role. RECARO USA is established as a separate entity from its German counterpart but be aware that management personnel, career paths, and procedures/processes are decided by Germany where the "Functional Leadership" remains. A strong desire to mirror all operations, processes and procedures to be like that of the German facility, however management positions, number of staff members, financial support and employee compensation are at least a level or two below Germany in comparison in all areas. Management positions and other attractive positions are often filled by promoting and transferring in German counterparts. US Management team does not strive for individuality, too compliant in many areas where it does not make sense. Very weak career development, HR is more about hiring and firing employees rather than creating development programs for existing employees.
