      Highly recommend interning at Recology!!

      Pros

      I learned so much from participating in valuable hands-on experiences. The office was a fun, collaborative and respectful environment conducive to completing meaningful intern projects. I absolutely loved working in the Golden Gate office, and enjoyed visiting the other offices in San Francisco as well!!

      Cons

      There are not many cons I can think of. I found that my work as an intern was truly making a lasting impact on the company as a whole.

      Pros

      Recology is an employee owned company. This is evident in the quality of work and customer service that each employee provides. Furthermore, this aspect of the company creates a close-knit network and family at work that facilitates excellent resource recovery service. Many employees, no matter their position or placement in the hierarchy of the company, has expressed their positive experiences, and how they plan on staying with the company for a long time. My co-workers' commitment to their jobs, co-workers, and goals to reduce our impact on the environment motivate me to gain the most from this internship.

      Cons

      While my internship experience has been very meaningful and provided relevant work experience, it is Recology's second year doing an internship program. I think the experiences for interns will continue to improve and expand as time goes on.

      Pros

      I loved working at this growing, successful company with great customer service, up to date technology and concern for the environment.

      Cons

      There was a fair amount of bureaucracy at the parent company which caused delays in everyday processes as well as in implementing improvements.
