A relaxed place to work at and improve yourself
Pros
A lot of smart people on one place Many opportunities for self-improvement, many courses and certifications in-house Really flexible working hours, home office / working from home not a problem (that does depend a bit on managers), unless working for support team, they have it a bit more rigid. A lot of activities organized by the company throughout the year. Many amenities such as pool tables, relaxing areas, gym... Possibility of career growth.
Cons
The career growth is not guided, that is you need to push for most fo the things yourself. Nobody is slowing the progress down, but nobody really tries to help you progress on their own as well. Some of the managers were ex-developers and are not really cut out to be people managers. Those people are then difficult to replace, but they send out a negative "vibe". Luckily those are mostly exceptions and not a rule by a long shot.
