      Pros

      - Really caring place, managers invest a lot in making sure you're taken care of and have what you need - Very little to no micromanagement - Lots of big company benefits without much of the big company bureaucracy you'd find at similar sized companies - Great mix of peer staff who are eager to get in and build stuff so you can learn a lot if you have the energy to get an idea moving

      Cons

      - Tons of fiefdom-building among middle management - Cultural and incentive misalignment between sales and [consulting] delivery and product - Culture can cross the line from "nice" to passive aggressive - The corporate direction and strategy seem to be missing...Red Hat doesn't seem sure of what it is or does and so there is a lot of jargon-trading or just selling & delivering the minimum of what our products can be - Waaaaay too much overlap in services roles that don't add much value, and in many cases cause more overhead and confusion

      Pros

      Working remotely was great, but it also meant you were an afterthought vs the people in the office. Loved the team I worked with and my manager. They do try to support you.

      Cons

      During Covid they stopped hiring and our case loads got worse and worse with no help. My manager was wonderful, but we got a new one and they were harsh, mean spirited and it made me need to get the heck out of dodge. I didn't leave Red Hat, I left my manager.
